Stuff

There is an awful lot of stuff in our cluttered world … more than enough
so that everyone could have enough stuff
to satisfy all reasonable needs for stuff.
Alas, most of us have have way too much stuff.
More stuff than we can use or need or really want or even afford.
And, some go so far as to hoard.
Now, stuff(ing) in the extreme is hoarding
which is an official mental disorder(ing).
Ah, but who among us sane folks lack too much stuff?

Are not Life and Health and Time and Wealth the Real Stuff?
If yes, then perhaps stock up on money stuff,
‘cause, of those four, it’s the only one that is stockable stuff.
And, with enough money stuff, no need to cling to that lesser stuff.
And, properly invested, money stuff increases,
unlike that lesser stuff which decreases.

Look around …
storage units full of stuff not worth the cost,
garage and yard stuff sales for pennies on the dollar,
thrift stores galore full of our once precious stuff,
estate sales to keep our descendants busy,
attics, basements, closets, spare bedrooms, storage sheds,
living/storage spaces, shelves, cupboards, drawers,
garages, trunks, containers, corners, nooks, crannies.

Do we own our stuff or are we owned by our stuff?
When in doubt, throw it out. Sort and toss, all gain, no loss.
What’s it all for? Less really can be more.
Shucks, it’s just stuff.
